About Me

My name is Gil DeLue and I currently reside in asmall town in, NH. My career is in computer technology but my passion is photography. The job pays well enough to allow me to indulge this hobby with the acceptance of my wonderful wife Jane. Notice that I said acceptance not understanding. On many an occasion I've caught my wife looking at me like I had just sprouted a second head when I have approached her about purchasing a new piece of equipment or taking some photo trek. I've been involved in photography in one way or another for over 30 years. GD My earliest photos date back to around 1965 from our family vacation. It wasn't until about 10 years ago that it really became a major influence in my life. As my children prepared to go away to college, my wife and I decided to take our first adults only vacation since our children were born. It was a trip to Yellowstone National Park with my brother-inlaw and his wife and it changed me forever. I now make every effort to combine photography with every aspect of my day to day life. Prior to that trip I was pretty traditional a zillion pictures over the years of my family and friends, but not what I would consider a pursuit of the art. I was asked once what was my goal in photography and after thinking about it for a second, I replied "to take a picture that would truly represent what my eyes saw, in all of it's natural splendor". To date I do not feel that I have come even close to this lofty goal. My areas of interest are Landscapes and Mega tech. (Ships, Dams, Bridges, etc.).

Some tech stuff
